Pastor Matt was born and raised in the Hampton, Virginia area. He is married to Cary, and they have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren.
He graduated from Kecoughtan High School, in Hampton, then attended Christopher Newport College. He received an undergraduate Bachelor of Sciences in Leadership degree from Old Dominion University and is currently attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary to obtain a Masters of Divinity degree.
Matt describes himself as a man with many imperfections, and one who has experienced God's mercy and grace infinitely more than he can count. This has given Pastor Matt a heart for God, and as the Lord leads him into a deeper relationship, he wants to lead God's people into a deeper relationship with their Lord.
His favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. While it is written to the Jews in captivity, it is comforting to know that God has a plan, no matter what the circumstances.
Pastor Matt loves reading, watching movies (especially Star Wars!), and spending time with Cary & his family.
