On March 8, 2022, the GFBC WMU met in the Fellowship Hall and held a brief general business meeting followed by the Week of Prayer Program from Connie Baggett. Connie began by reminding us who Annie Armstrong was; an amazing woman of God to be sure! Nancy  explained the title of the Week of Prayer focus: United.  Then Connie presented the missionsaries and their stories through words and video, followed by their specific prayer requests.  The videos were well done and very moving.  We saw the missionaries and where they are serving.  We heard their hearts for God & for the people they are serving.  Jane, then closed the W of P study with a summary and then a website where people can go to pray for specific North American Mission Board Missionaries. These missionaries are church planters.  This is a very difficult job.  These folks need to be uplifted in prayer daily. The missionaries are supported directly through 100% of the money collected through the Annie Armstrong Offering.   Cary closed us in Prayer.

Connie also provided  delicious snacks & drinks as we socialized.

It was International Women's Day.  Carol blessed each woman a pamphet written by her late aunt, Julia Costen Parker. The title is "He highly regarded every woman." Julie's words and the scripture she shared  are inspiring and encouraging to us all!

Lastly, as Pastor Matt came in to share snack with us, the WMU presented Pastor Matt & Cary with a sweet card & thoughtful gift in honor of the day 2 years ago when Matt was called as pastor of GFBC.

Praise the Lord for WMU and the Annie Armstrong! All glory to God!
